https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lives_Matter
The call for Black lives to matter is a rallying cry for all blacks lives which are striving liberation. The Blacks live matter is a political and social movement emphasizing basic human rights and racial equality for black people and campaigning against various forms of racism. The Black Lives Matter is a global network that is chapter based , member-led organization whose mission is to build local power and to intervene in violence inflicted on black communities. This movement has always made people feel uneasy. From the moment this movement created people didn't really accept it they were saying things like "does this mean that the white lives don't matter". The question is what exactly that stirs the feeling of uncertainty in people?

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Social media plays a significant role in the Public Relations industry it also plays a vital role in giving awareness on certain topics and also  help in communicating with a niche of people (specific target audience). Social media  played a huge role  when it comes to this Hashtag , many people didn't know what was happening but with there use of social networks they were enlightened. There are advantages and disadvantages of discussing this hashtag on social media.

Discussing this hashtag on social media is a very good thing because even though it does not cause revolutions meaning that even though it does not change the situation but it can help citizens who feel a sense of injustice who are affected by black lives matter to know that they are not alone and the next step is to act. This will have to be the advantage. Many people in South Africa didnt know about the killings of black people because this started in the USA but because of social media they were made aware.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_activism

Social media does not do much for the movement yes it allows people to share their experiences and it create a sense of solidarity and raise awareness about what is going on but there are still people who don't understand what this movement is about , there are people who talk ill about the movement and who think that the movement is racist. This is a disadvantage because the message that the BLM (Blacks Lives Matter) were trying to convey will be lost , people will focus on the negative side and forget about what the movement is trying to do and the message they are trying to send.Twitter and facebook are still valuable tools for building community and getting the message out there but the problem is that they cant control it , people will always write thing which are insensitive and that are not build with                                                                   activists concerns in mind.

RECOMMENDATIONS

A strategic way to use social media will have to be accuracy , it is very important to understand and recognize your niche audience respect them and also be sensitive about the content you share or write. When posting it is important to indicate that your opinions are personal so that people can "understand" where you are coming from , even though not everyone will get but that will be their problem you would have mentioned that its your opinion and you are entitled to your own.

  7. We still low key live in an apartheid error because white people still see blacks as enemies, animals and not human beings. Education is important, if people are well educated things like these would hardly occur. We need to start creating unity and stop violence against any race.
